7pm-9:30pm BST
In Person
This special event will explore music of the desert, poetry of the heart and the wisdom of stillness.
We’ll offer a rare opportunity to experience the coming together of gorgeous contemplative guitar music from Justin Adams, a world-renowned musician, with Henry’s heartfelt poetry and zen teaching, to carry us into the depths of meditative quiet.
Justin Adams and Henry are old friends with a shared interest in contemplation and the arts that grow from it and express it. Together their offerings will create an evening of wonder, inspiration and stillness, supported by an intimate gathering of meditation, music and quiet.
What to expect at a music and meditation evening
This event is a coming together of poetry, music and meditation. We will follow a journey of stirring guitar music and heartfelt poetry into the heart of contemplative silence — the stillness that lies just behind words and melody, and is their true source.
In the course of the evening, we will gather for an experience of stillness, beauty and wisdom, all in the inspiring setting of St Mark’s Church, Islington, in the heart of London.
