Join Henry and Kelly
We are very excited to offer you the opportunity to experience an extended live practice session with both Henry Shukman and Kelly Boys.
Over this half-day retreat, Henry and Kelly will share a unique blend of their combined teaching. Through Henry’s compassionate guidance and Kelly’s invitational style, you are welcomed into a space of deep rest to explore meditation and loving awareness.
This is an opportunity to truly lay down worries and pressures for a while, and to give yourself a moment to rest and reflect at the end of the year.
What to expect in a half-day online retreat?
Kelly will lead an extended session of non sleep deep rest, guiding you into a restoration practice which includes a reset of your nervous system as well as space for inquiry and reflection. She will also offer explorations for how this restful awareness can lead us into glimpses of non-dual experience.Â
Henry will offer a longer-form meditation that invites opening up to a deeper level of mindfulness, where we can witness and welcome all our cares and stresses, and gently lay them down. Henry will also give encouragement from teachings, Zen koans, stories and poetry.
Additionally, Henry and Kelly will share a conversation and host a joint Q&A session, answering your practice questions, and diving deep into the meeting point of their respective teaching styles.
Please note: Kelly’s guidance will include a guided lying down practice, so make sure to have a comfy setup, such as a yoga mat and pillow/blanket nearby! A couch or bed will also do just fine.
A space just for you
As we approach the end of the year, it can sometimes feel like the pressures mount on us. Deadlines need to be finished, family commitments need to be met – we can feel the build up of all the heavy lifting we’ve done over the year. Our nervous systems are straining with the need to hold it all together.
That’s what this session is about: dropping into meditation, mindfulness and awakening practices in the company of two teachers who will guide us into a kind of ultimate rest. A rest that brings us back to a primordial, fundamental wellbeing. A rest from which we can emerge physically and emotionally refreshed.
Retreat Schedule
Here’s what students have said about Henry and Kelly’s teaching
Kelly is a masterful teacher who brings her warm and loving heart, intellectual fortitude, her longtime interest in self-inquiry, her deep ease of being, as well as her grounded presence to her teachings.
Kelly is a skillful teacher who delivers wisdom teachings of meditation and self-inquiry in a manner that makes them easily accessible to all. Her innate curiosity enables participants to deeply rest and relax while learning to intimately explore the nature of their own experience.
The way Henry Shukman ‘landed’ us into deeper levels of consciousness — often using poetry as a vehicle for getting us there. And allowing us collectively to notice and sit with that shift without saying a word.
